The following software was written by MetaMedia, Inc. and is available for use through the GNU General Public License.

Our population pyramid graph generator, poppy.py, builds both the graphic images and the html in which they can be embeded. Note that you will need to rename the program after downloading from .txt to .py. poppy.py is written in Python and uses the biggles Python graphics library. poppy.py is passed one or more population pyramid configuration file names on the command line. A sample configuration file for the United States in 2000 can be found here. Please do not try to download and run this program if you are not familiar with Python.
